- All CO2 and Smoke Detectors Should Be Checked: Be sure to replace the batteries in your detectors so they can function properly and protect you.
- Replace Your Air Filters & Have Your Vents Cleaned: Your air filters should be checked monthly and replaced if necessary. Dirty air filters and vents can cause your HVAC equipment to work twice as hard, wasting energy and money. - Clear Paths and Driveways of Snow or Other Debris: During winter snowstorms, be sure to clear snow from any paths or driveways leading to your home’s entryways, fill pipes, or fuel storage tanks. Do not return to the area until the fire department says it is safe to do so.
